About Me

My name is Megan Ameral Limon.  Just call me your modern Doula. My perspective comes from a very modern place supporting woman to empower them to become mothers. While I’m all about using essential oils and breast milk to heal everything. My modern approach to motherhood makes my practice relatable and simplistic.

I am a DONA Trained and Certified Postpartum Doula here in San Diego. I was born and raised under California sunshine. I am a country girl living in North Park with my sweet hubby. We are San Diego natives with weekends filled of Cali road trips and searching for the perfect donut. My mother made deep connections with me during our postpartum days home after my birth which created a beautiful mother and daughter bond. My love for comforting mothers and supporting families started with the birth and raising of my beautiful little sister who is seven years younger.

Many sandy toes, giggles and extraordinary memories later, I transitioned into a nanny for families in San Diego. I became more passionate about family dynamics and how to encourage positive connections at the very beginning of life. I fell in love with supporting parent's role in nurturing a new family. I attended the DONA training at Bastyr University September 2014. Currently I attend a variety of courses and workshops for Postpartum Doula care.

I am deeply passionate about American Sign Language! I offer my Postpartum Doula profession to assist families who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing in the San Diego area who use American Sign Language to communicate. I also encourage new families, who verbally communicate, to include simple ASL signs with their baby/babies to establish bonding connections through early communication.

My calm and serene nature allows place for the bonding and early connections new parents make with their little ones. I truly care for the families who allow me to be apart of this beautiful experience in their lives. My passion is supporting and encouraging confidence in mother and father's parenting abilities. I love to support the birth of a new family.

I would love to meet you and your family!

Best wishes, Megan Ameral
